Our Director, David Coleman, is a Fellow Grade Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM), a Tier 3 Fire Risk Assessor on the IFSM Fire Risk Assessors Register and a Chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH).
David has held a number of senior roles and brings a wealth of experience across a wide range of fire safety sectors.

If you own, manage or operate a business this law applies to you. The types of buildings affected include offices, care homes, sheltered housing, communal areas in blocks of flats, hotels and retail premises amongst others.
Whilst it is the Managing Agent, landlord or employer who is responsible for making sure that a fire risk assessment is completed to the correct standard, most employ the services of a professional assessor.
When choosing an assessor it is essential that they are able to demonstrate the necessary competence to complete a fire assessment for the particular type of building being assessed.
Arden Fire Health & Safety are registered on the BAFE SP205 Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment Scheme and have many years of experience in carrying out high quality fire risk assessments in a variety of buildings including care homes, sheltered accommodation, blocks of flats, offices and Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO).
Fire doors are a vital piece of equipment and with additional requirements regarding inspection coming into force in January 2023 now is the perfect time to discuss your fire door inspection needs with us.
Any residential building, where there are two or more dwellings e.g., flats or student accommodation, which is over 11metres in height must have all communal fire doors inspected on a quarterly basis and all flat, bedsit or room doors that lead onto a common escape route must be inspected on an annual basis.
All of our Fire Door Inspectors are qualified to a minimum Level 3 in The Inspecting and Testing of Fire Resisting Door Installations.
Passive fire protection is essential to stop the spread of fire and smoke and as with any other fire protection measures it needs to be in good condition and properly installed.

Our Director, David Coleman, has held two interim positions as Head of Building Safety for Housing Associations. He has significant knowledge of the requirements under the Building Safety Act, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and the Fire Safety Act and the impact they will have on Housing Providers.
David has developed Building Safety Management plans and assisted clients in navigating their way through the ever-changing Building Safety Landscape.
