Fire Risk Assessments

Since 2006 it has been a legal requirement for all non-domestic buildings to have a fire risk assessment in place.

If you own, manage or operate a business this law applies to you. The types of buildings affected include offices, care homes, sheltered housing, communal areas in blocks of flats, hotels and retail premises amongst others.

Whilst it is the landlord or owner of a building who is responsible for making sure that a fire risk assessment is completed to the correct standard, most employ the services of a professional assessor.

When choosing an assessor it is essential that they are able to demonstrate the necessary experience, training and knowledge to complete a fire assessment for the particular type of building being assessed.

Arden Health & Safety have many years of experience in carrying out fire risk assessments in a variety of buildings including care homes, sheltered accommodation, general needs blocks of flats, offices and House in Multiple Occupation (HMO)
